Exam IQ
How Exam IQ predicts your score
Exam IQ estimates your certification exam score from your practice answers, on-device, with a confidence range that narrows the more it learns about you.
What it is
What Exam IQ is
Exam IQ estimates your likely Microsoft certification exam score on your device and recommends what to study next. It updates after every question you answer.
The models also estimate your ability in each exam domain, so you can see which areas need work. Knowledge-decay tracking uses the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve to flag topics you're likely to have forgotten since your last review.
What it reads
What the model reads
The app includes a CoreML model for score prediction, with a weighted formula as a fallback if the model is unavailable. Both read the same signals from your answer history:
- Test scores and consistency, and your strongest and weakest domains.
- Question coverage and mastery across the outline.
- Practice-test streaks, study hours and improvement over time.
- Remaining weak topics and how long you've been active.
- Answer speed and how often you read explanations.
Confidence range
What the confidence range means
Your predicted score comes with a confidence range: a low and a high estimate. A narrower range means the estimate is more confident, usually because you've answered more questions. A wider range means the app needs more practice data to make a more precise estimate.
The app also estimates how likely you are to reach the pass mark, so you can see both your predicted score and its uncertainty.
Why on-device
Why it runs on-device
The CoreML model and its fallback formula both run on your device. Azure Mastery does not send your answers to a server for score prediction. You can choose to sync your progress separately through your private iCloud account.
Limits
What it cannot do
Exam IQ uses your practice in the app to estimate readiness. It cannot guarantee a pass or access Microsoft's live exam questions and scoring. Use the estimate to guide your study alongside your own judgement and hands-on experience.
